Foreign Cinema

The Centro Cultural de España has been showing some great films lately. Here are two of my favorites, both dealing with the theme of “development” as something at best unnecessary and, at worst, devastating.

Yindabad (Spain, 2007)

Binta and the Great Idea (Spain-Senegal, 2004)

  1. Now I know how I will be spending my Monday, when I am done perusing your photos of life in Mexico. It looks so much like Bogota at times that I could cry. I love you, chica.

  2. If you like great foreign cinema, make sure you catch the last week of the 52 international film festival at Centro Cultural Tlatelolco (metro tlatelolco, line 3, green) It´s super cheap and they’re showing really good movies from around the globe.

    Cheers
